Who is You Bloody Beauty?
Hey there!
My name is Alexandra Cox and I am the Hair and Makeup Artist behind ‘You Bloody Beauty’. I found my love for creative makeup when I was bored one night at home. I picked up the acrylic paint I had sitting in my draw and used it all over my face. It didn’t turn out the best but there was just something really enjoyable about the whole process. Did I have a huge allergic reaction all over my face? Why yes, I did. So, it’s safe to say that I learnt from my mistake and I can proudly say that I haven’t used acrylic paint on my face or anyone else’s since!
After that, I basically spent my days teaching myself how to create illusions on my face. Eventually, I grew up and started being a ‘normal’ teenager and that's when my love for glam makeup started to grow. I completed my Diploma of Specialist Makeup and decided to combine my love for both SFX Makeup and Special Occasion Makeup. I still love both the glamorous and the gruesome side of things, hence the name, You Bloody Beauty.
